The Grief of a Single Mom

She's pretty damaged. Her marriage is falling apart this season, finally. And yet, Tom is the only one she can open up to. She tells him, it feels like I'm the only one that lost something that they were actually fucking wanting here and it's not coming back. There's no potential there anymore. It's gone and that's the grief.
