How to Build a Product That Works for Multiple Users

When you're building something new that multiple people could potentially use before you write your first line of code, don't make assumptions. Don't talk about what the implementation details will be or how much of a pain in the ass is going to be a build it. You just say, which of these features is most important or is this useful for you? And if you get everybody saying, like, yeah, I want that and I will use that if it's built, then you know you're onto something.
