I had a lot to say about the era of time and cosmology and relativity. Part of those were historical digressions, which I put into footnotes or end notes. Sometimes there were little gems in the end notes. Other times it was like, skipped all the way back to the book just for this. So I think it depends on what your goal is in writing the book. What audience you're trying to reach. And who knows what will happen in the next book.
