The fact that it's hard to leave is the feature of a community. Because social pressure induces people tok, treat them as if they were coercive. But because unities are such thy they, they've got their signalling rules and people who don't like it can just leave. And split offs actually a very healthy thing. People think, oh, jidy, why can't we have big disagreements about fundamental things? They're like mutations in the evolutionary process. Maybe both these communities will survive - but on the other hand, maybe only one of them is going to survive.
