The impact factor of a journal is basically the average number of citations that a paper would get if it published on that journal. But like a nerops c v p r, those conferences are more pretigious, or at the very least as pretigious as the journal but doesn't matter. The process is what it is. It's interesting to think, specially in terms of citations. As you start counting citations, you create a market. And people will try to gamify that and misconduct starts showing up.
