Introduction

The status and value of metaphysics has been controversial and disputed for much of the last 500 years. It is commonplace to view metaphysics with suspicion and contempt today. Recently, the criticism of metaphors has been taken up anew by Nailist philosopher Johnny Vadimo. He advocates a flight from the so-called violence of any metaphysics of objectivity to the freedom of Augustinian love.
