The Cold War on China
China was manifestly doing so much better on the COVID front than the West was doing with the Trump administration sort of getting into one blender after another. It soon became clear particularly after the 2008 financial crisis and over the last decade it has become more and more clear that China has no intention of subordinating itself. All China wanted quite rightly I think more opportunities to trade with the rest of the world but it has continued to pursue its own goals of developing its economy increasing its technological sophistication.
