How to Emulate a Clinical Trial?

This paper in addition to all the other aspects of emulation which George has discussed is this clone sensor and weight approach. And I think that is really hard intuitively to understand. In a standard observational study, you will, for example, be matching a real person with a real person who stops with the real person who continues. But the difference with what happens in this paper is that you are artificially creating a set of imaginary people who either stop or don't stop. So it's an artificial pseudo population. Yeah, and look for that word pseudo population. Those are some of the actual terms that are not just buzzwords telling you that the study was actually thought out carefully.
