How to Screen for Reflux on an Ultrasound
The guideline for the first febrile UTI is still to get an ultrasound, but that it's only to really look for anatomical abnormalities. A lot of those abnormalities would have been picked up on prenatal ultrasound. It does make sense to screen the kids with ultrasound right now. For optimal use of the ultrasound, it would be good to wait for a couple of days until the inflammation has subsided itself.
