If you're using pro version, there's an export format field. You can just save that to be mono and it will do it all in one. And you can also set that on the template so that all of your projects get it. I'll often just do the convert to mono thing for my final project because I don't want stereo as my final. Now you can do the MP3 mono, final as final export.
