TSR was sold for about $25 million to Wizards of the Coast in 1997. Some A-list directors, including James Cameron and Francis Ford Coppola, took a look at Solomon's project. The film grossed less than $35 million worldwide. After two long years of litigation and an undisclosed settlement, Hasbro finally regained control of D&D's Hollywood fate.
