The Importance of Listening to Your Audience on a Podcast

When you're podcasting, aren't you basically just like spouting off jokes that are popping into your head half the time and organically? Yes. And you do end up landing on material that you then want to use, but you don't feel comfortable with it because you already kind of workshopped it on the podcast. No matter how much you work it on the podcasts, you don't have that immediate audience response. You know from there, whether it kills immediately and you go, okay, boom, I got a hit or maybe it doesn't kill, but it gives you enough to figure out what you got to work with and change.
