The Urban Legend of Red Pockets in China
In China, families will put out red pockets on the ground to lure in potential brides and grooms. In a lot of cultures, it is believed that if you're a loved one, family member, your child, die single, they're gonna spend eternity alone. So what do you do? Okay, maybe you marry their dead child. They throw a little dress on you. You hold a picture of their deceased child and you do this little makeshift wedding ceremony in their home. It's potentially spiritually binding if you believe in it. But there seems to be a pipeline between these ghost marriages and murder murders.
