The Naive Kid's Story

Carl didn't have a kid as far as I knew. It turned out that Carl's girlfriend had a son, he'd never mentioned him because he wasn't the kid's father. After that I would see him and the boy several times a week. On one or two occasions he even brought the girlfriend along. When the whole story came out I felt completely duped. Not only had I been naive, I now find it hard to trust anyone.
