The Politics of Afghanistan

After a couple of months in Pakistan he decides I'm going to go to Afghanistan. He committed the original and eternal American sin which is sort of bumbling innocently into a very complicated situation. The Taliban with our help ends up taking over the country, but it's still a super fractious country. It's like its own little cold war. This is what John signs up to fight for that the message he gets is that the Taliban are freedom fighters. And so if he doesn't go and fight, the Northern Alliance could get more territory in Afghanistan and more Muslims are going to suffer.
