The British Are Involved in the Border Negotiations?

The british helped broker the deal to negotiate with venezuela and newly independent guiana about where the border should be. So that's why we now see eight stars on the flag. The venesuelian government has had, for decades, a certain claim against the british. They feel that they've been unfairly treated as regards the border. It's long standing till they've been saying this for decades, but recently they decided to add the it star to symbolize this.
