The Justice Department sent two FBI agents to my office in early September of 1980, a little less than eight weeks before the election. I really had caused a lot of political problems. And Tippo once said to me on the floor, he says, I personally resent the gentleman from Maryland. He was saying it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
