Soil Organic Matter and Carbon

I view carbon as the tail that's wagging the dog on this issue. How much carbon we can put into different soils is going to vary an awful lot from place to place. The kinds of practices that you would do to cut down on diesel emissions and nitrogen use, those practices are pretty much the same for soil organic matter content. We need a different regulatory framework which can empower farmers to enhance their land.
