Is Fiat an Evil Impulse?
Ivan Ben-Ghiat: I raised my daughter by fiat. It's almost an evil impulse in a way, but also not. But it seems like there's some weird schism on humanity whereike adults grow up and they feel like they still need to do this to other adults. And i don't knows. It's an immaturity on both sides. He says the lack of awareness that were we are responsible for our own lives can be severely damaged by how you're raised as a kid.
