The franklin case really launched a whole new line of scientific work on rich false memories that might not have been done otherwise. You certainly see there's an enormous sociological legal implication. There's a real possibility that vast numbers of innocent people could be wrongfully convicted based upon these false memories, through this alleged process of repression. And coming to terms presse memories, you start doing a wealth of scientific investigation to probe how maleable memory can be and whether we can implant false memories.
