Is This a Good Thing?
A year ago, there was a committee appointed by the SETI community and decided not to have discussions on UAP in any of the conferences related to SETI. I find that really strange because it shows how the dynamics of academia is controlled by societal forces, not biological thinking. And as a result, they deserve funding. We shouldn't prejudge their conclusions just as you are- No, I'm happy- I'm being delighted if they prove me wrong. By the way, I met with the committee and had a very good conversation with them.
