Is it possible that an AI that satisfied his goals would be one that we would think of as being empathetic or compassionate or feeling? My final line about how AI could learn compassion from us echoed an earlier TEDx talk of mine where I suggested that we should be nice to our digital assistants. Next week, my guest will be Louis Rosenberg, a lifelong technologist in the fields of virtual reality and artificial intelligence. He is the founder of Unanimous AI, which amplifies group intelligence of humans using AI technology based upon the biological principle of swarm intelligence.
