Perfectionists tend to be too hard on themselves. Be compassionate about the difficulties you had to deal with. Practice self-compassion and self-care. Don't hold on to bad things or seemingly bad things that have happened in the past. Just let it go. Remember that making mistakes is actually a good thing. If you do ever reach perfection, then you have to go a long way in order to get there.
