What Do We Know From Laboratory Rats?
A lot of research performed in laboratory rats is based on male rats of a juvenile age, and they're based on animals that have been inbred for a number of generations. So the question is, what do we know from laboratory rats? And unfortunately, not as much as we would like. There's actually a lot of momentum now in science to develop natural bioassays, biological assays, where scientists can go out in the field and study rats that are varied in their behavior.
