Opportunity Zones
opportunity zones were created by the tax cutt ing jobs act. And it was basically to incentivize people to invest into areas that were historically under invested in. You can take your gains from other asset classes outside of real estate, invest them in an opportunity zone fund and defer capital gains. There's some substantial requirements for those who want to work out how they're actually going to get their money back. But if you've got a good head on your shoulders, I don't think there's any reason why you shouldn't be thinking about getting involved with these opportunities.
