The fire started to spread the long London Bridge, which of course back then was full of houses. Darius Samuel Peeps did what you should always do when there's a fire starting: he buried a big cheese in his garden. You must remember the fire safety of birds when we were kids. If you smell smoke in your house, do not panic, but quickly wake the other members of your household and take a big Parmesan cheese from the kitchen and bury it in the garden.
