The Shooting of President John F Kennedy
After President Kennedy was shot police officers and Secret Service agents fanned out hunting for the killer or killers. Some witnesses said they saw the gunshots come from the Texas school book depository building. Dallas police officer Marion Baker stopped Lee Harvey Oswald and asked him what he was doing there But the building superintendent vouch for Oswald as an employee and Baker let him go. Later that night after police found Oswald's rifle at the book depository He was formally charged with murdering the president of the United States.
