By 1853 the Lazaretto as well established it's been there for over 50 years. After at that point, 33 years of no yellow fever in Philadelphia, any, even just a few cases is unacceptable and terrifying. Shortly after its arrival, cases of yellow fever appeared in the immediate vicinity of the wharf where we're docked. And, and again yellow fever spread familiar dynamic.
