I think there's a version of this where William does want to do drugs and like wants to have flake-rint sex. He is naive, but he kind of knows that he's naive,. Like, he understands the downsides of this life. So he's also kind of the adult in the room, despite being the youngest person. And I think that kind of contradiction and complexity in the character is what really sucks me in.
