How to Care for Patients in Cardiovascular Arrest
If they come in in V-FIB and they're below 30 degrees Celsius, you should probably take one chance at shocking them. Keep warming them until they get to 30 and only then try additional defibrillation attempts. There's also drug alterations. I give these guys one hit of epinephrine when they first get there with the profound hypothermia code and then nothing more again until they hit around 30, 32 degrees.
