The middle gangetic plains were a gigantic forest, tens of thousands of square miles across. These early indians organizedn families and clans began to cut and burn the forest down in order to turn it into agricultural land. The way that we generally think about them is some gube figures out that if you throw seeds on mud, a glorious, bounteous harvest immediately pops out of the ground. Eventually, the manliest man forms a great empire, so that thousands of yas later, people can make pod casts about how great he was.
