What Kind of Judaism Did They Have?

The idea of synagogue started in babylon. In exile, you have a destroyed temple sitting in jerusalem. The only central center eace to your faith is now lying in ruins. Almost everybody does not believe tit did start as a synagogue. It started with people living in what we would call 'humble homes' And after they move back under their own freedom, all the synagogues might be very humble buildings at first. But then maybe one day it could grow into something much bigger and more powerful.
