Broker CDs vs Treasury CDs
Broker CDs are usually available on your brokerage platform, Schwab, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade. They're kind of like leftovers. You can jump in and get a CD from a couple years ago that was paying a much higher interest rate but a much shorter term because it's like the back end of somebody's who had to had to walk out of it. The liquidity would be one issue. There could be a little bit of a liquidity issue on the Treasury's, but probably not a ton, if any. And ease of doing business. There's probably some commissions involved in terms of buying the fixed income.
