The Legend of Minos
According to the legend, Minos was a son of Zeus who took the form of a bull and carried off a young maiden named Europa on his back from Tyre in Phoenicia to Creighton. He then transformed back into himself and made love to Europa, who eventually had Minos and two others from that union. The boys were adopted by the King of Creighton named Esterion,. When he died, Minos made a play for the throne and expelled his brothers, Radimanthes and Sarpodon from the island. So beside him, God of the sea sent up a white bull from the waves as a divine answer. But when Minos failed to fulfill his promise
