The three most powerful words, when you strung them together, ta the fountain head of all power in our system, and maybe all power everywhere, was the people. Heh pal, you like your foreign policy idea, how about we put that to a vote? And if you don't want to put it to a vote, what does that mean? You try being an american politician, no matter how you really feel about that subject, and going up in front of the elect at saying, oh, listen, that's a subject that the American people should not weigh in on. That's a nuclear boomerang right there for your career.
