The Paris Parliament and the Revolution of 1788

The paris parliament made a series of announcements in april 17 88 to intrench its popularity. The declaration was nothing but affront to the king and the notions of absolutism. When 900 government troops surrounded the building that the parlamon occupied, the judges refused to hand over their colleagues. Two days louis the sixteenth stripped the rebellious parliaments of all their power. Just as the moderates had feared, the judicial revolt had resulted in suppression. One question remained, would the heroes of the nation remain suppressed? Or would the nation fight for their heroes?
