I was part of a group of ten academics or ex-academics who met both Peterson and McGill Christian in Cambridge. It turned out the way it had been organized that most but not all of us were practicing Christians. One of the reasons why they don't come out as either believers or would-be believers is because if they declare for God in the public sphere their intellectual foundations are going to be shattered, he says. I think maybe we've got to the point where people actually need to just stand up and say look I don't care what you think this is what I believe.
