The Fear of the Terrans

The main fear of the terrans is that for whatever reason, these outlicks may decide to get rid of this. And if these outlicks are so hugely superior to us, they don't give a damn about us. For example, imagine these outlicks think that, oh, this oxygen is a real pest because it rusts our circuitry. So let's get rid of the oxygen. But why would the machines keep us around? Like why bother? Well, that's maybe I didn't spell that out properly.
