Vile says that any attempt to collectivise the truth is to give it an institutional form that will destroy it there is no truth when it is collective and that pretty much does rule out democracy. She thinks this also means that science is impossible modern science can't be done in the way that it professes to do it. In human personality vile says of modern science that it is as enslaved by fashion as anything including Parisian hats.
