The last time we mentioned israel in this podcast series, we were discussing the most iconic neandetol discovery at the kibara cave. The remains of a 120 thousand year old female that resembles homoniander talensis was also discovered there. Oka was also being used to decorate shell beads. This kind of artistic use of naturally occurring coloured sand and clay compounds was a widespread human activity. That older populations are humans, and maybe even homo erectus, was decorating sea shells.
