The Complexity of AI Systems

There are hundreds of thousands of components in each of these systems. If your average time to failure is one year per component, your machine never works. To do this efficiently or to do it at all really requires advanced chips that can actually crunch all the data. And so when the US government looks at AI in the future there's obviously a number of civilian applications but there's also a lot of military intelligence applications too.
