Earthling, a Poem in a Book
The word 'earthling' is actually one of the oldest words in the english language. It's like our original word for a ploughman. An earthling is someone who takes care of the earth, who w inhabits the fecundity of the land. The title came to me about two thirds of the way through te making of these poems. We wouldn't love being alive and treasure it if that weren't the case. I wanted there to be the sort of ghost of task.
