The Gift of Tongues
Tongues are one of the most common gifts that we see still displayed today in a normal local church. I actually think the gift of tongues when it's interpreted is equal to prophecy. When tongues are interpreted, God gives a revelation to the Church that is needed for its ongoing life. And now that we have the full canon of Scripture, that's why these gifts no longer function.
