Un Kothun's Story
Un Kothun began singing in the group alongside her brother at 12 years old. As she got older, her father grew concerned about her singing with a group of boys and men. He came up with a plan: She could continue singing but only if she disguised herself in boys' clothes. Her first performance disguised as a boy was terrifying. But then something magical happened. The second I opened my mouth, they shut theirs.
