The Role of the Bell in Wicca
The bell represents air in Wicca. Some people associate it with water because of the way the sound waves are similar to ripples in water. In Wicca, it's used for invocation and banishing, scaring away evil spirits. It can be rung to mark the beginning and end of a ritual to seal energies after casting a circle or releasing them at the closing of the circle. How about a gong? I really like gongs.
