How Hard Is It for Men to Build Close New Friendships?

I was talking to one of my buddies about this like when we're kids, when we were younger, it's so easy to make close friends because of shared time. And then I was thinking through how hard is it for men to build close new friendships? Because we don't have excess time. Like most of us don't have a ton of extra time to build relationships. If you can break away, we're talking about getting away to do a camping trip, even just once a year and trying to get after that. That could jumpstart three years in a weekend, if it's done right.
