In the 1700s, whaling was big. Timmy ended up with the entire region supply of whale bone at around 340 tons. It's an uncommon material in the first place that you would get from hunting whales. You can't just like breed a bunch of whales and then harvest them like that. That doesn't work. You have to actually go out and you got to hunt the whales. I mean, no, they would do that too.
