Code Bases - Are They Equal?

Code has two jobs. One job is to be executed, and the otherJob is to be maintained. I've worked on code bases that are so difficult to understand that they can't actually be worked on. Small things are easier to understand than big things. In order to understand something, you often have to understand all its dependencies also. And just a composition of classes will not work if there's too many connections between them.
