Do You Think the Fed Controls the Market?
You want to think about having the right opportunity set that allows you to have a chance at being wrong in your timing, but still make money. And treasuries are a far safer way of shorting the market overtime. It's a better way of expressing a negative equity bet than actually betting against equity. The narrative that the fed controls the market, to me, is complete nonsense. Tha, the numbers are too big. Now it's the markets what drives the fed, not the other way round.
