Friendship Park
Border field is a no man's land that used to be friendship park. The park was created back in the 19 seventies, under a republican administration. Only people from the american side could enter the park. When they did, they could walk all the way up to the fence along the mexican border. Families could touch the fence and have conversations. Now i can crouch in the wind shelter. I started to get the sense that we were missing out on something. It does feel a little bit like attending a party you weren't invited to.
